| Most Swiss pharmacy shops will order them for you.
Why can't he bring commercial fireworks by road from Germany to Basel? I have not seen a ban anywhere. | |

German class II fireworks, (rockets lt. BAM, Bundesamtmaterialprüfung) need a import license and as they are puny in comparison to CHian fireworks it is just not worth the bother.
Class IV fireworks also need a license and also a sales protocol, added to that Ground exploding class IV fireworks are also illegal in CH.
Class II bangers (lt. BAM) should be legal, but I would check the fine print, Fireworks from WACO will have a print for the CH accreditation.
Class II can be bought by anyone over 12
Class III and G1-III, well you have to be 18.
Also the Kantons have different laws regarding fireworks so you should be wary of that.
Most Kantons have a 2 Kilo restriction anyway.
On a lighter note; T.I.S. (This is Switzerland) you can legally buy Blackpowder but you have to sign a form declaring that you do not intend to use the stuff to cause a explosion.
Things my have changed in the last few years, so best would be to inquire at your local Zollbehörde but you would really be desperate to do that.
IMHO it is easier to buy here.
By the way German law states that you only have three days before Sylvester to get your stuff together.
