Re: My Christmas tree just blew away

Agree, blinds up during heavy storms. In fact you can get some sort of storm sensor that will automatically take the blinds up if the wind is too strong. We have been looking into that, but decided against it..

PS! Hope the wife did not leave the blinds down this morning

Our awning does that.

Stupidly, the default setting after a power-cut and reset is awning fully out.

This seems a somewhat flawed design.

Re: My Christmas tree just blew away

Came home to find my 1.5m long planter box (3 connected together) with wooden trellis and weighting stones blown over and off the patio. The only thing that stopped it from going into the street was the fence. To say it now needs a bit of repairing is an understatement.

Monster sized Charbroil BBQ grill with tank attached blown from opposite end of the patio (6+ meters) with wheels locked was nearly completely off and into the fence, thankfully I came back when I did as that would have been a real mess if it had gone over the edge.

Re: My Christmas tree just blew away

Crazy storm today/ tonight! So windy, the crziest weather I've seen in years.
We had an 8 hour power cut in the village and at least 4 other villages nearby! All back on now though.
