...but you do realize, that the province of Manitoba is about 16 times larger than the whole of Switzerland with the population density of a little over 85 times smaller than the one of Switzerland?
The capital city ,Ottawa,is bigger then the Kanton Zuerich and is less populated

Re: Comparison Canada/NorthAmerica vs. Switzerland!

For anyone having a troubled time switching from N.America to Switzerland, don't feel so bad.

My wife's parents left Switzerland to go to the lonely, cold plains of Manitoba to be farmers for some of the same reasons N.Americans find Switzerland annoying. They didn't like the over-regulation, they wanted open space, other reasons...

Now we've moved from the prairies to here. And though we enjoy it, we have a feeling that even after getting use to the culture shock (because you realize it right away), we most likely won't stay here for good.

I wear a bandana out in public... the only one in Switzerland most likely. It's like I have a giraffe leg sticking out of my head. I think it makes people uncomfortable... I love it :-)
