Medieval scholar. Teaching native French speakers to read Old French, and trying to convince them they can even enjoy it. Then introducing them to Old and Middle English.

If you listen to any radio in CH (not just Swiss stations), state radio in Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and probably some other places, then I am personally responsible

You guys make me laugh....it's good to hear the honest replies and the funny one's! You are what makes Switzerland what it is! Saw a business card, think it's a joke card, so here goes....would love to do this as work:-

USED CARS — LAND — WHISKEY — MANURE — NAILS
FLY SWATTERS — RACING FORMS — BONGOS

ENTERPRISES, Un-Ltd.
W. W. GREEN, President

Wars Fought Stud Service
Revolutions Started Tigers Tamed
Assassinations Plotted Bars Emptied
Governments Run Computers Verified
Uprisings Quelled Orgies Organized

Like Billy Conolly used to say:-

Life is a waste of time
Time is a waste of life
Get wasted all the time
And have the time of your life!!!!

I'm part of the Genf NGO crowd (though not, I hasten to add, of the UN variety), trying to convince journalists to pretty please write nice articles on what we do.

I wanted to be a train driver, then a footballer, then a musician in a symphony orchestra, then a mountain guide. But I'm not.

I'm converting apple juice (on any food for that matter) to C code. That code either does everything (when worked in a startup) or tiny, negligible, Heisenberg-esque cog in a corporation. But that's a side job only tolerated to feed half a dozen stomachs, pay fuel, diapers, and not interfere with chauffeuring to doc's appointments, schools, Migros errands, translations and all this expat's life mess.
