Sundays in Zurich

Hello everyone

Arrived in Zurich last week and knew that things were quiet in Zurich on Sundays....I was out today and was totally stunned at how quiet it actually was in the centre of town!

So my question is what do people actually do to amuse themselves on Sundays? I have no English TV channels so no lounging on the sofa unfortunately. I would like to be out and about on Sundays, perhaps going hiking or running but don't want to go by myself as I'm new here. Can someone please perhaps "adopt" me for a little while and help me out.

Thanks!

They go to the Limmatquai to get to the cafes there, or to a museum, or along the lake, or to the zoo

Re: Sundays in Zurich

This time of year the Swiss flock to the mountains on Sundays. You should give it a shot! Even if you're not a skier/snowboarder, you could try tobogganing. It's fun and inexpensive

Check out this link: http://www.myswitzerland.com/en/tobogganing.html
