Re: Scousers in Basel?

Hello, my husband is a Scouser, we have been here a year now and he has met other Scousers mainly from watching Liverpool play football. There is defo Scousers here, if you like Football and can tolerate watching the Red or Blue team (I say this as you may not support a Liverpool club or be interested in Football), then when there is a game live on TV head to the English/Irish bars in Basel and you will defo find more than one Scouser

Re: Scousers in Basel?

Well I'm definitely a football supporter (red of course!) but I was hoping to find some new scouse girlfriends, for gossiping, shopping, eating and drinking, as I'm missing the humour...... no disrespect intended to any non-scousers reading!

Reginald D Hunter makes a funny and interesting point that only Scousers - of anybody in the world - define themselves by their sense of humour and are even arrogant enough to broadcast the fact that they regard their humour as better than anybody elses. No other group of people in the world do that.

You just confirmed it

No disrespect taken can not assist as only married to a Scouser, not a Scouser myself!!!

There is also ladies cheering on the reds in the pubs, so I still reakon that could be a good place to meet some females from the same place as you.

Well, it's a fair comment. Only Dublin is faster when it comes to putting someone in their place. New York doesn't come close.

Plenty of Scousers about but thankfully not too many scallies. A particularly good looking Scouser even helps mod this Forum, la.

Re: Scousers in Basel?

sorry i asked! scousers can usually be divided into two groups - comedians and musicians! I think you'll find most scousers pretty easygoing and very friendly, notwithstanding all the (unwarranted) stick we get for being scallies! And for the record I'm female AND I don't regard my humour better than anyone else's - I'm just funny anyway and that's a fact whether I'm from Liverpool or Outer Mongolia! So back to my original point before the scouser-beating started (and thank you for the intelligent responses already!)...any female scousers (or male for that matter) out there wanna make friends?

Re: Scousers in Basel?

They are easy going and friendly and the fact that you and at least one other scouser is out here shows that they are not all criminals because there are at least two who clearly still have their passports.

Come to think of it, when Liverpool play in Europe Gerrard still plays. Which means Gerrards got a passport too - so thats 3 already.

Could any other scousers who are not criminals please reply to this thread so we can get a rough idea of the total number.

(NOTE: This is a light hearted response. I'm from Newcastle, so I'm used to getting stick myself..)

Re: Scousers in Basel?

In a recent survey, the people of Liverpool were asked should the UK change to the Euro.
Most Mickey Mousers replied, "No, we're quite happy with the Giro".
