looking for some friends

hallo,
everyone, I am actually not so new here anymore, i have been here for 1 and half year, but until now i didnt really make any real friends. It is really kind of difficult here to make friends with local people. I hope there are some people who are also in the same situation. Then sometimes we can go to drink a coffee or enjoy a walk. I am a chinese lady and looking for actually friendship with girls. But if u are a male with intention of making just friends, also welcome.

hahaha ! definitely !

Tina, try going to a club ... be part of a society and you will quickly be involved in moves. As a child, i was in Liestal Fulinsdorf ... my mother wouldn't speak a word of Swiss German or French , yet she always had an extensive network of friends to whom we went. Everyone would speak English.

and like mojado says, remove at least 1 X

Re: looking for some friends

Tina, if you enjoy walking, have a look at the "Meet up" groups website. There is an active group based in Basel, who do a variety of walks and other activities that you would be welcome to join.. At least one member lives out towards Leistal. There is a smilar meetup group based in ZUrich, but a few Basel people also belong to that. Last Sundays walk had just under 20 people, various ages and nationalities including two from southern China and one from Tianjin.

Do you have any interest in cycling? If so, join one of the Saturday morning market, coffee and supermarket trips from central Basel to St Louis ( take your bike on the train from Leistal to Basel, and cycle 6 miutes to where we usually meet.

Check out the social events calendar - all sorts in Basel, from a monthly book club, running club, to pub crawls.
