Do you like Espresso?

I went to the Dragon Centre a couple of days ago and I've seen this little Italian coffee shop and I've asked for an espresso.
It was pretty good as the one you get in Italy and also It wasn't "too" expensive, it's 4.20 CHF for a regular espresso.

The place is called Pasticceria da Graziella and It's just in the Dragon Centre in front of Bankverein tram stop.

Enjoy your espresso!

CHF 4.20 is about 4x what it costs in Italy.

Here an espresso is 1.20 euro if you are not in the touristics spots and go local.

True, but I'm not sure how you can call this here pizza.
It's pizza flavored bread at the most.

Try La Colombiana by the Gundeli entrance to the SBB.

Right - don't forget to factor in the train ticket or airfare to get there though

You most of all are unfair to the many Italians here who really serve good Italian cuisine. What is actually served not only differs from one place to the other, but depends on the region where the restaurant manager originates from.

Beside the point that I do not like the "Pizza-mania" in "north-of-the-alps-Europe" as pizze are just a side-line of Italian cuisine. Worse even in most of "north-of-the-Alps-Europe" is the size of the pizze served which tend to have the size of truck-wheels. I know just one place quite nearby here which serves pizze of a reasonable size and of really good quality.

In Italy, among thousands of ristorante, I might praise the ones at Aeroport Milano-Malpensa, pleasant service, good food, good wines and really pleasant places. Extr5emely pleasant if you have an Alitalia voucher for a dinner including 5 dl red wine and a dessert plus a coffee

Back to Switzerland and Germany and France. Italian restaurants in these three countries generally are between acceptable and excellent, while most "Italian restaurants" in Britain are a definite disaster (exception, the one near Goodge Street tube station at upper Tottenham Court Road)

Back to Zürich, the differences of price-levels of Italian restaurants here are bizarre ! and amazingly enough, the best one I have come accross over the years is in a not too prestigeous quarter in north-western Zürich. Excellent food, good wines, good service and a very pleasant ambiance. So nice that I managed to take Mum to that place just a few months before her "departure"

Where?

Pretty much anywhere except tourist traps!

Sure, Genova is more expensive then the average place (was there last Friday overnight on my way to Nice), 1.20 rather than the usual 0.85!

We thought Venice surprisingly cheap. Awesome cappuccino at the railway station for 2eu and fantastic gelato everywhere starting at 1 eu for a single scoop.

4.20 chf for an espresso is imply having a lend. Madness.

Most of it is, but there are some places (mainly for tourists) that aren't.

I didn't find the restaurants there much more expensive than other places in northern Italy.

why are you seriously comparing food and drink prices in napoli with Zürich? why don't you also compare the average salaries or rents in napoli compared to zürich?
