Woke up today 40 minutes ago because I got a call saying that a BBQ I was gonna attend was canceled . Then I got a call 30 seconds later inviting me to another BBQ and another call minutes later to go to another later!

After 4 months I finally have a social life in Switzerland!

Then going to the kitchen window and seeing blue skies and the Alps in plain view. You can't really ask for more
Then also learning that a friend just had a major legal problem resolved positively this morning.

~ Despite having slept for over half the day, today is looking to be quite a lovely Saturday!!

Hurrah kngavl - enjoy. Must say it is so much better to arrive in CH in Spring to meet lots of people ... and be invited to BBQ's and all sorts of fun Have a fabulous Summer all.

We are gardening now & I'm so happy my wisteria has filled out. I was worried they had chopped too much of it out.

Now how to save the quince tree??? I think it's going to have to be chopped down. (Will take this to the gardening thread)

Today I went to the viadukt, saw some people I know, met some other people, had a nice lunch, got some cheese and left before i became too hot. It was nice and I feel happy. :-)

exactly what I wanted to do but I am ill and lying in bed, so no cheese for me.

Just climbed Cornettes de Bise, doing 1400m vertical difference up & down from Miex. Wonderful day, beautiful views to Mont Blanc and whole Haute Savoi and Valais. And relationship with my girlfriend (been there with me) seems getting back to normal

Nice quiet morning, then drop #1 son to a birthday party - which he really enjoyed, and was just a real birthday party: kids playing together in the yard, then riding a billy cart down the street (it's okay, it's a cul-de-sac!). Not sure what they did between those two, but cake was definitely involved ...

You guys make the 14 I've had with my wife (anniversary middle of last month) seem rather trivial ... but they're not!!
