fed up with unwanted mail

my letterbox is everyday full of advertisment, free newspapers and other unwanted stuff that is really annoying me now.
First of all because it is in german, then it is just a waste of paper IMO.

How can I stop this? any advice is appreciated.

There is a little sticker that was specially created to put an end to your misery. Your loacal shop should have some laying around.

Put a sticker of a gun next to it then. Maybe the extra hint will let them think twice!

Never had problems even when we lived in Wallisellen.

Why don't you politely request an English version.

Re: fed up with unwanted mail

I have to admit to being a nasty sod when I find such stuff in my letter box - although thanks to my sticker I really don't get a lot. When I do however, I put the offending flyer into an envelope, address it back, stick a blue 'priority' label on and affix a 10 Rappen stamp. Then I post it. Anon of course. The recipient then has the choice of paying extra postage, not knowing if it is a genuine mistake (instead of 1 Frank) or refusing acceptance not knowing if it couldn't be a valuable order...

Naturally this procedure doesn't reduce the amount of such advertising (small) but I always have a feeling bordering on twisted joy!!!!!!!
