Suggest Me an Iron and Ironing Board

Guten Morgen everyone,

I have come to the conclusion that I can't find the expensive Swiss prices, importing an ironing board from the UK would cost far too much.

Basically I have a CHF150 limit to buy a good iron and ironing board, the prices I see for boards alone is near CHF60 and I'm not sure I can get a good steam iron at CHF90. Any and all suggestions are valid.

If importing it from Germany, etc seems viable then I'm up for that.

Preferably I would like to order these things online so they can be delivered.

Danke!

Re: Suggest Me an Iron and Ironing Board

You might want to post a "Wanted - Ironing Board and Iron" thread in the Marketplace section of the forum and see if someone has a used set that they would be willing to sell to you at a better price than a new set.

(Please note that if you purchase used items, the seller is almost certainly going to require that you come pick up the items yourself).

Ikea has ironing boards for 16-35 francs. For an iron, Mediamart and Interdiscount usually have sales on irons.

Re: Suggest Me an Iron and Ironing Board

Thanks guys, I was hoping for online purchases for the easw and hopefully discounted/lower prices. Would I be better off shipping one of abroad/Germany/etc?

I know to some it may seem weird but I quite like well ironed clothes and rather get the best I can for my budget/wants.

The creases will be gone within a few minutes of wearing stuff...

The only iron we have is for waxing skis.

Conforama has on-line shopping and delivery to anywhere in CH.

Here is the link to the irons page (in French - you can change it to German). It allows you to make your selection on a number of criteria.
