It's considered an international specialty beer here!...............
somewhat off the Canadian beer trend.. but years ago I went to a bar up in the old town of GE and the "specialtiy import beer of the month" was Rolling Rock, offered at I think CHf 9.-- per bottle.

I practically pissed myself laughing.. Chf 9... for that pale stale ale?
( and promptly ordered two. )

When Keiths was regional distro only I used to ship twofers by train when going back to MTL, and would be assaulted by thirsty Maritimers craving a fix.

@infromCanada - and 2x vis-a-vis recocklous Canadian beer prices... stack that against the .45 PrixGarantie!
My liver and mind still haven't accepted that in Zurich, where a steamie is 6CHF, there can be a .45 anything, let alone a beer!!!!!!

You pay for the nostalgia and memories... never for the taste.

Re: Thank you for the incredible welcome!

Mehehe. Yes, the price we pay for piss from home.

I realized I must define the WBU, as to make it usable... so here goes:

WBU = [Quantity (in cl) * Price (in CHF)] / Quality (1-10, with PrixGarantie being an arbitrary 5)

So this gives PrixGarantie a WBU of .45, while that Keiths weighs in 2.97...

This seems pretty workable, as that makes most supermarket beers (10 bottles/cans for +/- 8-10 CHF at more or less adequate quality) weigh in at about 1 WBU, with potential variance regarding personal attitude to quality vs. quantity and glass over aluminium.

Beer Units! I believe I will now use the Wollishofener Beer Unit (WBU) as a way to measure price/volume/quality, with PrixGarantie having an arbitrary value of 1 WBU.
The "Vino Rosso" one litre bottle only costs CHF 1.95 and the wine is, even if not supreme, quite good !

Ok, now I want to drink and there is so much bureaucratic business I have to finish first. You think they will give me my work visa faster if I explain this system to them?!

True, because I doubt you could get drunk off Canadian water... at least you'll still be able to remember afterwards
