Need some help with Bern, going to participate in Handwerker-Marit 1st September.

dear all,

I will take part in Bern Handwerker-Marit (handmade items fair) 1st September.

Never was to Bern at all, plan to go there by train.
Speak no German.
But managed to reach an agreement, and it's my first handmade fair in Switzerland

Would appreciate your kindly advise on some questions:
- how to find this market, going from the train station? There's the details of market itself: http://www.handwerkermaerit.ch/index.htm
- what place (close to this market, fast & affordable, with good meals) would you advise to have lunch at?
- may be you have some time in very morning (arount 7.30) at 1st September, to help me settle in there? Especially if you speak German

if you have any other tips, which might be useful to your opinion, please share.

if by any chance you are planning to go to Bern at that day (early morning) & back to Geneva in the evening (after 6 pm), and you have free space in your car, lift would be highly appreciated.

by the way, you are all heartily welcomed to attend. I hope it will be nice event, with lots of interesting things.

Re: Need some help with Bern, going to participate in Handwerker-Marit 1st September.

thank you very-very much, to all of you: )
It was the heavy rain there today, so very few visitors came to the market.
looked to me like those were people who camed for 1 day visit, therefore could not wait for a better weather: )

But I liked the place & atmosphere. And even sold one item, which was a big luck under such circumstances.

have fun too: )

regards,
N.

Yes,non stop raining here also in Basel.

And,just one question,I am thinking about start selling my homemade jewelry in a market, but, what steps did you follow?.Did they ask you for a license or similar?.

Really,I don't have any idea about where to go to get that info.

Big kiss

I've used google to find markets. And then just e-mailed to organisers.
Many of them replied, most with request for documents etc.
this market is monthly & you pay the fee to them, that's all.

good luck: )
