Re: spray for killing mosquitoes

I use an aerosol called "Catch"
Bought it at the supermarket in France, underneath the name it says

insectes volants, mouches moustiques
sans risques pour vos plantes d'intérieur

Translates as

Flying insects, flies, mosquitoes
Safe for your houseplants

Yellow and red container cost about €4.

Hope this helps.

Re: spray for killing mosquitoes

You may find that the plug in solutions last a lot longer and are more effective over time as they are constant, I put a fan behind one and it distributes it well around the room, just as efficient as an aerosol …

For the evening, and I was so surprised this works I use an app. that I found on Android, it omits a very high pitched sound that apparently mosquitoes can't stand, I used to get loads of bites on my head, now I place the phone next tot he bed I get very few or even none at all...

Re: spray for killing mosquitoes

For mosquitos I use a few drops of Citronella oil in a small bottle of Olive oil and rub that on - never have mossie bites.

For flies ....... sprigs of fresh herbs work - Basil, Origanum, Thyme, Mellisa, etc .... I have found that sprigs of most any herbs seems to repel flies.

For crawlies in cupboards - lots of soap and a good washout.

Re: spray for killing mosquitoes

What's wrong with not letting the bugs in in the first place?

Just put up mosquito nets on the windows, you can buy them at every Coop Bau & Hobby and other DIY stores and they are very easy to install. They are called "Fliegennetz" in German.

Also don't dispose of any house spiders as their webs can catch many mozzies - ideal.

Oh oh .... Mahmood now has the yellow container and electricity devices! Sounds a pretty lethal combination.

(just beware of inhaling second hand smoke)
