Re: Stomach problems

I think that I get enough fruits and vegetables, but I could always increase my intake. However, I don't really have any blockage problems at all which is usually how the fruits and vegetables help (by providing fiber). Or at least that is my understanding.

Also, I actually do chug a 1.5L bottle of water nearly every day which makes me pee like crazy all day.

Apparently (according to my husband's gastroenterologist), fruit and veg are also good for increasing friendly bacteria in the gut, much more so than these bifidus products which are just a marketing hype.

Re: Stomach problems

I hadn't heard that fruits and vegetables increase friendly bacteria. I do eat good portions of vegetables for dinner every evening. I must also admit that I eat way more vegetables here in Switzerland than I used to in the US and I never had these problems in the US.

Re: Stomach problems

I am not diagnosing here but:

Where you tested for Helicobactor Pylori? (it is a common but often missed bacterial infection in the stomach and needs omeprazole plus an antibiotic as treatment. Can be tested for using a "breathtest").

see NHS direct website.

Re: Stomach problems

Read method "Se délivrer de la Boule au Ventre" of Naďs SOUBIROU. It's pretty simple to understand and it helps.
