Haha.
I waited there 15 minutes and it was 2:00 PM at Sunday. As I said nobody could have ride it. I'm 99% sure somebody just wanted to get rid of it.
I even left a message there with my phone number so that if somebody is looking for the bike can call me.
I am always mystified by bikes like this, because I think it's so easy to make it clear if the bike is for free to take/unwanted. I often wonder if these run-down bikes have been stolen, taken for a joyride, and then abandoned. Then, I wonder why you would abandon it, if you have successfully stolen it.

Such a mystery.

Killed for a bike ? I really don't think there is a country in which this would happen.
I know an Australian that was shot several times and nearly killed while riding in Eastern Africa (I forget which country). A friend of a friend was shot while riding through Ecuador. In turn, he stole the shooters motorcycle and drove himself bleeding to a hospital... A french couple I met were shot at near Trujillo, Peru. They got away but showed me the bullet holes in their panniers...

That's nothing bud. I knew this Japanese family of four who were enjoying breakfast in Hiroshima on August 06, 1945 ...... they never got to finish their Rice Krispies unfortunately.....

what a small world - regrettably, my grandfather was in charge of extracting the uranium that went into building the bomb "little boy", which killed many little boys.

Re: Thief in my garden!

That's nothing. When I were a lad, knee height to a garden gnome, you considered yourself lucky if you were shot. Scrap lead were worth a bob or two in thems days! Only way we put bread ont table were getting shot at.
