Re: Nuclear waste disposal sites

They won't be complaining either when the lavish payments come in for having those disposal sites in their Gemeinde, and they won't be complianing about the generous tax cuts that money could translate into.

If nobody is enthusiastic now, that just means there isn't enough money on the table.

Wasn't there another thread where this was put to the test and local people said, in a vote, that they would, accept a waste dump.

When the same people were told they would be paid compensation, the numbers who voted yes, actually fell.

People were happy to do it for civic duty but couldn't put a price on it.

Here's a link to the pdf

Re: Nuclear waste disposal sites

Switzerland is big on recycling so this is no surprise.

In my stadt they collect the nuclear waste on every third Wednesday of the month apparently. Provided you fold it to the exact specified size and use the correct twine.

This post will be deleted. I wrote something very similar earlier in the thread and one of the mods deleted it (the impartial one).
