Cervelat saved ----- the Cervelat Crisis solved !

Latest news is that the import of the Cervelat skins from Brazil is allowed again. The alternative imports from Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay had lead to a lower quality and higher prices

In short, the world got saved

Cool.

Is there a Cervelat vs. Bratwurst discussion on EF yet? Not to mention the pros and cons of mustard etc. to go along with them

Whatever, with Cervelats and with Bratwurst I need some strong mustard and some curry and some mayonnaise clearly

Wonderful news!

I remember in 1973, no 1974, a most excellent cervelat with His Serenity the Sultan of Venezuela eating. The skin was most delicious. I think it came from Brazil. We also there a most excellent Siberian Primitivo given to us by His Pederasty the Italian Orthodox Bishop of Jeddah very much enjoyed.

He was a very liberal man but I do not know his views on sausage skins.

Re: Cervelat saved ----- the Cervelat Crisis solved !

On the topic of Cervelas, if made from Truthahn, are they still pre-cooked (ego fine to eat out of the package)? And how far off the suggested expiry date is considered 'ok'?

Re: Cervelat saved ----- the Cervelat Crisis solved !

A few months past the date works for me (normal ones, not the Turkey ones )

And they are pre-cooked (all types).

Tom

Wow, if this was a crisis, I absolutely don't want anybody to make fun of the tragedy of the twinkie factory being closed!

p.s. I haven't eaten a twinkie in probably 20 years....I blame myself

While I had to look up at Wiki for "twinkie" .... the Cervelat crisis here was a matter for the Federal Government and both chambers of parliament, the public and all of the media, The "new" Cervelats are indeed better again than the "interim" product.
