The entry form is on Facebook, and yes, you could soon be driving a tractor through the streets of Basel!

As I come from Norfolk in England, I find myself intrigued with the possibility that I could finally have my very own tractor, although I'd have preferred a combine harvester option.

Re: Surreal competition prize

I'm not entering this contest until I know for sure that the tractor has the correct headlight washers, the correctly colored turn indicators, and European maps loaded into its GPS.

And, come to think of it, it had better also include a motorway vignette, a couple of alcohol test kits (in case I want to do some farming in France) and at least a year's supply of Zweifel Salt and Vinegar.

I can't read and I can't write
But that don't really matter
I support FCB
And I can drive a tractor

Apologies to Ipswich fans everywhere...

Er, no. I do not speak French, but the German website clearly states that the main price is the real thing. The 99 children tractors are consolation prizes.

I love this campaign. And I never wanted a tractor as much as right now.

Edit: Since everyone was quicker: I'd rather want Castro and Mirfield win the children tractors though.

Lol.

Damn.

I'm a surreal painter and photographer and, when I opened this thread, I was actually expecting this to be a legit surrealist competition.

Re: Surreal competition prize

What would you do with the tractor, in case you would win it?

For me:
My 3,5 year old daughter would love making a ride in it.
I would make tours with it through Schwyz and enjoy the Swiss feeling.

Also spotted yesterday in the metropolis of Lausanne -- so watch out, there's competition out there!

I see no reason why children couldn't also drive the tractor. Do you need a licence for one of those things? Obviously I'd be telling my 4-year-old to keep it on the driveway and the lawn (and keep off the rose bed) ...

If something as bizarre as that would happen... I think I'd take it as a sign - you cannot just sell it and buy some VW Golf for it.

I was thinking of taking some time off lately and would combine it with LIBs roadtrip phantasies (Drive to Gambia)... Around the world in a tractor sounds like an awesome roadtrip idea (or at least some part of it) - and given their off road capabilities probably not even as stupid as it first sounds!

Especially as the model to be won looks way more comfortable than any tractor I have driven... they nowadays come with full cabins, climate and radio - even for the tiny 55bhp ones like those.
