You could try the "Audio Guide Baden".
It is a way to explore attractive sites in the city and the forest alike. With your mobile phone you call the toll free number at any of the 19 stops and you can listen, in English.

Here is the link to the main page. Be sure to scroll down to the links to the brochure and map.

We often spend our Sunday out in and around Baden, enjoying the scenery, maybe taking photos (saw a heron catching its lunch from the Limmat yesterday), but have never tried the audio guide, must give it a go. Thanks Mrs Doolittle!

Well, a lot of folks go for walks in the countryside or go to lunch - or both. Hubby works in a restaurant, he says that they're often busy on Sunday afternoons.

When I was spending less time other days with m-i-l, we frequently went to lunch or for coffee (and dessert) on Sunday afternoons. (If we were still doing that now, I'd be seeing her almost as much as I see my hubby )
A Restaurant in Switzerland that's busy on a Sunday?!? Please tell us all the name of the Restaurant. Yummi Yummi coffee and cakes on a Sunday!

Have a nice day

GREG

There is one near Baden, at Baldegg, which is always busy on a Sunday lunchtime, also all the cafes in Baden are full with people having coffee and cake etc.

Hope you have a nice day too Greg!

Re: What do people do on a Sunday?

We go out and have a sunday brunch of eggs (your choice of poached, scrambled, fried), bacon, pork chipolatas, mushrooms, baked beans, toast and marmalade, washed down with cappuccino and read the Sunday Times.

I wish...............

Yeah, what's up with the Swiss not doing breakfast in restaurants?

Actually, I take that back.

I hate to think what Swiss breakfast food might be like.

Bacon schnitzel.

If we don't do the aforementioned brunch, we pop into the local to have the 8 quid Sunday roast and some banter.

Re: What do people do on a Sunday?

Sundays are my favourite day, as I am normally not as hungover as I am Saturday.

I used to set my alarm for 7am, and blast reggae music at full volume and clean for 2 hours then go back to bed. This was my way at getting back at neighbours for 2 months of building works starting at 7am.

Now, i sleep in until about 10am. Then I blast reggae, I cook myself a full English breakfast, and I take the dog out.

I then play table tennis no matter what the weather.

Sundays will soon be taken up with skiing however.

If you can't cope with the quiet, spend some hours in Kloten.

When everything's close (christian culture of chilling sundays) you have two choices at least: 1) you learn how to like this quiet and start enjoying it; 2) You meet up with some friends and turn the sunday into something different (parties; activities, home fun (alone or with friends).

But yeah, sundays are quiet and boring enough in this country :-)
