Fishing, SaNa certificate and permits etc

First some information about what is required for fishing in Switzerland.
Then at the end questions about permits.

To fish in Switerland you need to get SaNa certificate. Test is available in German, French and Italian. Do not let that get you down, you can try your luck and send mail to info@anglerausbildung.ch and and ask what to do if you do not speak these languages. If you are lucky you will get some instructor helping you out preparing for the test in English.

This address has more information about SaNa and the test:
http://www.anglerausbildung.ch/
Brochure that is used for the test:
http://www.anglerausbildung.ch/sana-...roschuere.html

The pdf is free. But you need to order that as booklet for 40CHF (request from email above and they send you that and the bill) . Booklet also has a page you fill with your details. That you leave after the test to be sent forward. You will receive your licence via post. The test will cost 15CHF.
Booklet contains 60 questions. Test has random 25 questions of those 60 and you need to get 20 right to pass. Questions are very basic ones not hard at all.

Then, has anyone knowledge about the permits?
Are there country wide permits that would cover some basic fishing places in the whole country? Or are permits kantonal or even for specific area?
Say one wants to fish very often in ones home river or lake, that would be clear, have yearly permit.
But how about fishing in some alpine rivers total something 25 days in year and in say five different cantons and in random order and time.
So do I need to get a licence for 6 cantons for a year?
Also I guess there are some places, like big lakes that do not require a permit?

One more thing - if you're willing to travel to do the exam in a language you're more comfortable with, you can do it in a different canton. They don't seem to care where your residence is.

Unfortunately, no country wide permits. Some cantons have cantonal licenses (Graubunden, Glarus, Schwyz, Vaud and some others), but in other cantons the permits are limited to a specific stretch of a river, which is a real pain. The cantonal licenses are quite expensive for non-residents (400-500 fr), so you better be sure that you know some good fishing waters if you buy a seasonal license. If you want variety, one day tickets are probably the best option (15-45 fr). It's not always easy to find out who sells these permits for a particular spot.

Good luck!
