Really?

What's that in his mouth then?

He sounds like a champagne socialist - "do what I say, not what I do."
He NEVER told people NOT to drink alcohol or NOT to smoke.

I'm talking about his butch wife (it's clear she wore the trousers).

Oh, I see. Clever thing for Wolly to show a picture of one person and then describe another person in the text.

If he had written,

It may have been clearer. He tends to be over-verbose in anything else he writes so this must have been a slip-up.

Here you see both Mr + Mrs Duttweiler

But in his case, most photos you could see were with his usual cigar. It was only in the 1980ies and 90ies when there suddenly were more photos of him around WITHOUT. Suppose, that this was the work of the P.R.Dept. of Migros

She was highly respected long after the death of her husband. She became 98 and passed away in 1990. Bad for her that she could not see the Smoking Ban of the Canton of Zürich being approved by the electorate, as she in a way was "the mother of all smoking bans"

There were NO French employees in the early years of Migros, and almost none later in the M-Genossenschaft-Zürich.

Interesting is that Migros-Türk ,
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migros_T%C3%BCrk
originally a Migros-subsidiary, and now independent of Migros, but now owned by
http://www.bcpartners.com/
does sell wines.

I some years ago purchased four bottles of Red Turkish wines at the MMM Istanbul Yesilköy and much enjoyed the stuff back home

Yesilköy is the location of the main-airport of Istanbul on the European side. There also is an international airport on the Üsküdar (Skutari) side -- http://www.sgairport.com/havaalani/de/start.asp = Sabiha Gökcen Airport, which was established to give more capaticity to civil aviation in Istanbul. Also interesting in case of the MMM Yesilköy is that very close to the place is an amazing Air Force Museum (a US American speaker apparently did the translations for the films etc).

Quoted for posterity.

and he loved good wines. Adèle Duttweiler WAS a NON-smoker but DID drink wine. Her experience however was the times when workers after having received the monthly pay straight on went to purchase spirits often not leaving their family enough for breakfast. Her thesis was that there were enough shops selling alcohol.
I was just waiting for this exact post, from this exact poster.

She's better looking him than him. Must be because she didn't smoke.
