Just do not put broken glass in the bags! Or any glass actually. I think that applies to everywhere?
I know 3 guys that work in the abfall recycling center and they are now going into the glass and adding it to the incinerators because the trash is not getting hot enough when they burn it.

Plus, I have personally seen the abfall workers taking recyclables and adding it to the normal trash.

I wasn't suggesting he add toxic materials to the regular garbage. I just thought that was common sense.

When you say composts, same as organic right?
Just as long as you are not adding it to the green garbage can. Cat and dog poop, when you are walking, have special bins and more plastic poop bags all over the place. Where there is walking, there are bins for pooping.

How would that help? Glass is mostly SiO2, and that can't oxidize as it's already oxidized.

I have no idea. I am not a scientist. Those trash burners probably aren't either.

So, the cat shit from the litter is okay for the bag or is that considered organic waste

In Baden small animal waste (Kleintiermist) and cat litter (Katzensand)should go in the compost

Edit..However, this is different in Zurich..

Yes, but see the PDF in my edit above for Zurich.
Qualipet sells a completely biodegradable litter that is safely flushable, if you want to dispose of cat waste that way. The downside is that our cats track it all over the apartment...
