Hah .... my sister`s daughter`s husband (No.1) had a tatoo of her name in big black box letters near his you-know-what.

A year later they got divorced. After a few years she re-married - to a man with the EXACT same name as No.1! (sheer co-incidence! but anyway she had declined tatooing)

At our secret sister meetings we chuckle about No.1`s tatoo ..... Did he have it removed....?...dunno. The odds of meeting someone with the same name?

A lesson for future enamoured ...... stick to dragons/butterflies/flowers/feathers/etc ..... names can prove complicated, and painful.... or embarassing.

..............................

I had my tatoo done when I was 43. When I knew I was never going to become a corporate secretary or anything else requiring me to not look like a member of Hells Angels.
Indian feathers, bear claws, etc around my arm.

My grand-daughter says she wants to inherit it when I die.

I am wondering if the first time her second husband then new boyfriend thought she was fast into business...

Ahem ... Nil..... I have tried, and not succeeded, to understand what you wrote. Yes, I know, all the ex`s and in-laws and 1`s and 2`s ..... confusion. Actually not serious, just wanna say - no understanding.

She thinks your sis got the tattoo.

Then the new BF was shocked to see his name on the 1st date quite so early in the relationship.

Which is why I didn't have a man's name tattooed but my daughter's.

I'll always be her mummy no matter what and even if she grows up to hate me (which I hope to goodness doesn't happen), I know I'll always love her and never regret the tattoo.

Trouble is now she wants one saying "mummy" on her foot for Christmas!

She thinks I'm being mean when I say no.

Now that's the sweetest thing I've heard in a long time
Hhahaaaa .......... yeah sweet. Except the skinning and tanning of my hide is something she will have to learn before I kick the bucket! So she can be first at my bedside with a sharp knife.

No, I have not yet explained all that to her. Am hoping she just forgets about it, and concentrates on her own tatoos, piercings, or a Harley, or anything else.

Aaaaaaa ... ok, I get it now.

No Nil.

Ex wife, she not got ANY tatoo.
Only stupid ex husband has tatoo - of his ex-wife`s name - on stomach near his wedding-tackle-department - in BIG BLACK BOX letters, like the military would stamp a box.

Her marrying a man with the same name just confused my story - sorry.

I'm 32 next year but I honestly feel like I'm having some kind of mid life crisis. I know I should be too young for that but I've just recently started to love music I used to hate, such as Marilyn Manson and other heavy rock. Also, I got a tattoo yesterday

I feel like I'm a rebelling 20 yr old again.....poor mirfield.

I am 53, have no tats or piercings, but I do have six motorcycles, none of which are Harleys.

Have I had a mid-life crisis and missed it?

Well.. when you're young you think of all you're going to do, your choices usually relate to yourself, everything is possible and the world is your oyster.
You think you have answers

When you're older, you make choices with your loved ones in mind, you willingly give up your own essentials and your perception changes.
You know that you know absolutely nothing
Can`t wait till this happend

I disagree. Ladies can't get a tattoo where I got mine and that hurt!

Removal is painful too but I need two names on there now.
Do you have a tattoo on your ego?

Once considered getting a tattoo of Brad Pitt's face directly onto my own - it's a more cost effective and quicker option than expensive facial reconstruction surgery.
