| | Bikester.ch, any opinions?
I'm thinking of ordering a pair of MTB shoes from bikester.ch. Has anyone ordered from them? Are they reliable, does their return policy function properly etc?
Cheers, m'dears
Edit: Alternatively, can anyone highly recommend a similar reseller?

I've purchased accessory items from Bikester.ch and was pleased with both product and service. I would order from them again.

I found the delivery time slow for in-stock items. I think the warehouse is in Germany even though they import and sell through a Swiss branch.
Bikeimport as mentioned was very fast and some decent prices (cheaper than bikester). The name is misleading they are Swiss based.

It seems that bikester have improved quite a bite lately. I ordered from them approx. 2 years ago and it took forever to receive on-stock items as the shipping was from germany.
At that time the prices were also high compared to chainreactioncycles from where I normally buy my bike gear.
However, I compared some items 6 month back and the prices on bikester were around same level as CRC but I think the parts are being shipped from germany still.

It took them 4 working days from order receipt to shipping confirmation and the about a week for the goods to arrive. Hate to think what is was like before!
With bikeimport I ordered on Wednesday evening and got the stuff in the post Friday am.

Thanks guys. I checked bikeimport, but they didn't have the shoes I wanted, so I ordered from Bikester. I'll let you know how long it takes.

Am a bit late but would also say they are great!
We ordered my daughter's bike and I honestly do not remember how long it took but it was a matter of days, maybe a week or so.
Would definitley order from them again!

Once the order had been paid, my shoes arrived within a few days. Unfortunately they were a tad too small, but they provide a return form and address label (had to pay my own postage though). I reordered the next size up and they also arrived promptly (~6 working days). Just got notification that they had received the returned goods and I had been reimbursed, but not yet checked if the reimbursement has gone through yet.
First impressions are good so far.

Sorry forgot to update.
Money for the original purchase was refunded promptly. I will definitely order from them again.

I had the same easy process with returning shoes etc---- my only gripe was it did take about a week for 'in stock' items to arrive even though within a few hours of ordering I had an email saying the items had shipped.

Anyway, the delivery time wasn't really an issue for me.

I have bought lots of times from Bikester and something really funny happens with this business....
They are also a seller in Amazon.de. First time I wanted a cute basket for my bike and looking at Amazon.de I saw one that I liked. It was sold by Bikester (they trade with another name in Amazon) and I had to pay delivery. Price was very good so I bought it. Next day a parcel from Bikester.ch arrived and it was my cute basket. I checked at Bikester.ch and I saw the same basket much more expensive than what I paid for and the delivery was even more expensive. Bizarre....
Since then, I have ordered more things: helmet, pump, etc and each time the same happens. Sometimes the difference is larger than others but it is always cheaper from Amazon.de although goods are sent from CH.
Not sure these guys realize this......

Bikester are slow and customer services is terrible. Best avoided my opinion unless you are prepared to wait an undeterminable amount of time.

Got a great deal too, a pair of 156.- shoes for 59.-. Bargain. Very lightweight and comfortable too.

I bought a bike and then 3 days letter some accessories in a separate purchase. The bike was finally delivered, after the accessories. I emailed their customer service several times and I never received a reply, other than the default "We received your message but we have lots of emails."

Hi PaddyG
I have had a very bad experience with them. I bought a 2012 CREATE fixie bike from them but they sent a 2011 one. Well first of all it was more than three weeks late and then they told me that they never had the 2012 one advertised. When i provided them with the link, they didnt reply but the next day the bike was no longer on the website. They don't have a phone number where you can contact them and they conveniently do not reply to emails if they already have your money. Needless to say i still have the older bike.
Sorry I just saw that you already have everything wrapped up. You were extremely lucky. Doesn't sound like the same bikester.ch that I know.
