Re: Severe weather alarm

Just got home from work, took me an hour instead of 20 minutes and I don't want to imagine what it's gonna be like later during rush hour and all the accidents that will happen.

Re: Severe weather alarm

Driving from St. Francois in Lausanne to Paudex (this is all downhill driving) at noon was quite treacherous. Lots of spinning tires, city buses stuck, slippery conditions. Don't go out unless you have to!

AND SLOW DOWN - GIVE PLENTY OF SPACE (and if you don't have snowtyres or a rear wheel drive - forget it). Stay safe all.

Am I the only one enjoying the snow? I just had to change clothes when I came home at lunch, heading back out, and it's beautiful!

AND TURN THE LIGHTS ON unbelievable how many people drive in these conditions without light, especially the ones with black or gray cars are perfectly camouflaged and you only see them the second before they are right there.

Geneva airport website is down. Are flights being diverted? A BA flight from LHR to Geneva appears to have landed at Basel Euroairport.

It could simply be that they realised which was the better city.
I live very close to the airport and I can hear flights taking off, cant see if anything is landing as the clouds are too low.

pic 5... i see that every few months because the highway goes from 2 lanes to 1 lane and cocks like that charge down the outside and then force themselves into the traffic Q , brake heavily, misjudge it and end up against the barrier.

serves them right.

edit: pics have changed so here it is
