Swiss hipster animated short

Hello all,

I stumbled across this sweet and clever animated short about Roni - a swiss hipster (with a difference) and his awesome life in Zurich (I assume its Zurich). It made my morning... hope you enjoy

That was pretty funny, I'm not a big fan of hipsters...

I think its so square that its hip. That means you are either hopelessly square or hip - take your pick. (oh dear - do people still use the term "square"? I guess I know which one I am)....

Well that's seven minutes of my life I won't get back.

I think I must be so un-hip, I don't even understand which bits are supposed to be funny, always assuming that some of it is

I found it cute, maybe amusing, but a little on the long side. Whoever created it is very talented though.

You and me both. That just managed to remind me of what I dislike about hipsters, without amusing me at the same time.

the fun is the stereotype!
take the t-shirt "he bought": modern talking was a cheesy 80ies german band, so bad your backteeth hurt! but today it is meant to be cool that bad taste, but in fact this shirt is not cool. he bought it of course at the fleamarket. where all hipsters buy "the original stuff". and his workmate says "yeah, berlin" (dunno if he actually bought the shirt in berlin, but zurich i think) one oft hipster cities of europe today. and that is another sterotype-> berlin. the rest how they talk and what they do is so classic. so zurich zeitgeist...its funny from my point of view.

Ah well, to each their own. Its not "comedy", per se. I guess I find it so amusing because I lived in a community rife with hipsters (South Main or "SoMa" to the hipsters - Vancouver). Which led to much hipster watching. Zurich also seems to be hipster central. One can barely toss a stone without hitting a pair of men's skinny jeans. I find hipsters to be fascinating because they are at once painfully superior in their attitude while at the same time pathetically conscious about how they are perceived. To their credit, however, they are powerful drivers of popular culture. I expect this was made by one, and if so I enjoy how she was subtly poking fun at her own.

Very true, it's funny but confirms why I don't associate with hipsters, terrible.

This priceless site says it best. I used it to explain to my husband what a hipster is.
