If it happens at any other time than early February, doesn't stop and it hasn't been reported in the papers etc, grab your iodine tablets and head for the cellar! | | | | | Of course any smart attacker would know all this and plan their attack for the 1st Wednesday in February. | The following 5 users would like to thank Medea Fleecestealer for this useful post:

I should have been clearer - What is the plan if it ever IS NOT A TEST here in Zurich? Make a run for the boarder?

I don´t have a boarder. And no, I would not run to the border either.
Do you think it will be better in France or Germany if something happens here?

The idea is that you get so fed up with the hits from the 80s being played that you run to your bunker to escape and bolt the door so you can't hear Phil Collins or Chris De Burgh any more.

I've just observed a very strange phenomenon: the moment the sirens fell silent, the snow started to fall.
Coincidence? I think not | The following 2 users would like to thank for this useful post:

Love the tv ad for it, but I did brick it ever so slightly. Only googled it after contemplating chucking the contents of the fridge in a bin bag, grabbing the washing and heading down to the cellar. Might as well get something done whilst I'm there...

| | Alarms in Zürich
What were those alarms in Zürich today?
Was this the sound of imminent nuclear Armageddon, the terrible last sound I will hear before Putin or Kim Jong-uns ICMBs rain down on us?
In case anyone missed it the sign above Zara on BH-strasse made sure we were all aware and nobody panicked. |

It is the annual system test. Always on the first Wednesday in February from 13:30 to 14:00. There is a long thread about the details if you want to look.
