Well I heard that one from the comfort of my sofa. Loud enough to be heard even with the windows closed but not loud enough to be annoying.
Very punctual but then we wouldn't expect anything less in Switzerland.

And now the second one is going.
I got the day right this time and opened the windows specially.

Down here in Geneva the sirens went off five minutes late and the all-clear has just this minute gone off.
Maybe LiB is right, Geneva is behind the rest of Switzerland in everything. Including early warnings!

They must have read your post and turned the sound up just for you.
Well I did open the front door just to make sure that it was actually the siren going off.
It stopped a few minutes ago so hopefully they're done for this year now.

Okay I was wrong, they're going again now.

Re: Nationwide siren test - this Wednesday 13:30

Number 3 siren just going off here, a bit quieter than the other two, could be the flood warning for people nearer the river.
Correction.. Very loud here now, sounds like two at once!

We're on our fourth round.... should I panic yet?
Or just stay in garden, finish my lunch and wait calmly for Armageddon?

Yupe, an unopened pot of the stuff with the sell-by date of 19.08.05.
Must have bought it when my sons friends used to come over and insist on liberally covering their food with it. This pot must have slipped through the net somehow and I'm going to frame it and give it pride of place in my next kitchen..... along with the decade-old chocolate Marmites.

Pretty sure Aromat doesn't go off so it's probably fine.

What's chocolate Marmite?
A large cooking pot made out of chocolate and stuffed full of marzipan vegetables A Geneva speciality for the Escalade celebrations in early December to commemorate defeating the Savoyards invaders in 1602. Any unsold ones are then melted down and turned into a second speciality: dustbins!

Oops damned autocorrect strikes again! I meant scared of course.

I thought it was probably cooking pot rather than yeast extract.

I rather liked the idea of you being sacred.... auto-correct is a total pain. I seem to spend as long going over things correcting the corrections as I do writing sometimes.

Not a peep, toot, wail or anything else here. Think I had this problem last year and mentioned it to the commune. Oh well, just have to hope there isn't a disaster.

Unlike this...

Yupe, just another excuse to eat chocolate really.

Don't bother with the stuff in the photo though, it's as disgusting as it sounds; and I like marmite... but only on toast where it belongs.
Guinness flavoured chocolate is equally horrid and a total waste of the black stuff.
