Manor gift cards

Yesterday I went to Manor Zurich to get some pillows and was surprisingly given a 20 sFR. gift card on checkout, valid till end of February.
According to the lady they'd give you one for every 100 sFR. spent.
I'll use it to get some bed linen

Cheers!

Re: Manor gift cards

Does anyone know what the difference between a Manor eVoucher and a Gift Card is?

Nice Manor is my favorite super market!
Given that this offer was in 2013, I think you're in for a disappointment.

I will look out for your for post in the marketplace with interest.

The gift cards mentioned by the OP are usually handed out a couple of times a year, so nunos will get lucky eventually!

There's a difference between a proper gift card which someone has bought and the type the OP was referring to which is basically a form of loyalty voucher where the amount you receive is based on what you've just spent.
Those are strictly sort-term time limited, the gift card you're asking about and which has been purchased isn't (until, as you say, you activate it by spending all or part of the amount it's worth).

Re: Manor gift cards

Got my Visa credit card from Viseca (via BCV, Banque Cantonale Vaudoise). They signed us up automatically for some gimmicky "Surprize" program. Paid no attention for ages as the points piled up. Finally checked it out - hey! Buried among the Bluetooth speakers and "discounts" on hotel packages are Manor gift cards. Real gift cards, 50 or 100 CHF, basically worth cash against any Manor purchase, live or online. Nice! Bottle of vino, anyone?
