Lost license plate?

I will be leaving Switzerland soon after living here for 5 years. Does anyone know what would happen or what the process would be if I "lost" one of my car license plates?

Here's where to look: Strassenverkehrsamt Kanton Basel in case you loose your license plate.

Good luck

Sentimental value, eh?

I have two Cali. bike plates, buried away somewhere, that I've never done anything with, too.

You will definitely be charged for the missing plate when you turn them, well the one, in could be an expensive souvenir.
