I am new in Switzerland and this forum.
I recently moved to Switzerland and this summer sister-in-law will come to visit us from US.
She is planning to travel from Geneva to Germany by train but she want to stay one night at Zurich without her big suitcase so that she can easily walk around the town.
I heard that you can send your luggage to the final destination by train in Switzerland. But can you send it to Germany? And keep it overnight?

Not sure about the sending on of unaccompanied luggage but she could just use one of the lockers in Zurich HB to store the bag over night.

within ch no prob. i often do it when on ski holidays. i send the stuff ahead and pick it up when i arrive. 20chf charge, i think... at least for my snowboard. maybe a bag differs in pricing.

If travelling to Germany by train, it is the DB service you need. I had a quick look on their website, I believe this is the service you are looking for. A friend did this not too long ago, shipped some luggage to a friend in advance of a trip.
