Travel charges for 1 Year KID In zurich

Hi
my 1 year kid is coming to zurich with my wife from India in march so I want to know
Is Local travel in Rail,Bus , Tram is free for my KID?
is travel in switzerland is also free ?
They are on dependent visa
also do they get shaingen visa?

Yes she is free we had to start paying for our daughter from the age of 6yrs old hope this helps

And when they turn 6 you can get a card (costs 20 CHF?) that let you take your child with you for free as long as it travels with you.

Yep: free of charge to the 6th birthday, then only sFr 20.- per year for a junior card, and the child can then travel for free with a paying parent. The parent must have the Junior Card with him at all times.

From 16th birthday the child is then an adult and pays adult fares.

Wow i cant believe thats so cheap thanks so much for the information will buy one tomorrow as we have been using the train alot on the weekends to go to the fastnact and you can never find anywhere to park.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH ... AS I AM Going to stay for 1 year so I think my baby girl of 1 year can travel free of charge anywhere in switzerland.
