Just wondering if anyone has tips on a place to lie in the sun by the lake (Zurisee) or Limmat, that's not as crowded as e.g. the Chinagarten area? Not necessarily a swimming area but just a nice spot to relax by the lake.

Walk around the lake on the Wollishofen side until you find a less crowded spot... or head down past Tiefenbrunnen... or maybe just go a little further out of the city, or into the forest and find your own little patch

Not really, Wollishofen is over crowded too.

take a bike, drive around and check where it suits you best. rentenanstalt, chinahorn, mythenquai, werdinsel and all letten is full. try thalwil, horgen or jona, stäfa etc.

Try the Belvoir Park between Badi Mythenquai and Brunau tramstop
