I'm sure it would be a good first TV for some people.
It must be as they have all gone now !

It is a series 6000, Samsung have had the series 9000 out for over a year now, hence my initial comment.

Be very careful with Yallo, nothing but headaches on my side. They were so bad that I dropped them after 6 months, but they are trying to charge me CHF150 in early termination fees.

They seem to be of the view that their crappy service is my fault.

If you are terminating early then of course you will be subject to fees, that's standard. Yallo use orange so that's where the crappy service comes from. Next time do your research.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

An 'upper' mid-range fully automatic coffee machine from De Longhi with milk caraf for true one-touch milk based drinks if thats your thing. The caraf even detaches and stores in the fridge (how much more lazy can you get people???).

Anyway the two features that were most important for me were compact size and auto-on in the mornings. I've set it to switch on at 6am, so there is no waiting for it to warm up and initialise each morning.

999 down to 599 until the end of July

Nice price, Castro. I hope yours lasts longer than my last De'Longhi machine did (the one that pushed me over to the Dark Side of Nespresso).

Re: Day Travel Rail card CHF 49.-

Officeworld.ch have a fantastic deal on a 13.3" laptop, the Lenovo 710S, for 849chf http://www.officeworld.ch/shop/artik...BwE&sprache=de

I took a look at one yesterday and it is as good as the many review say. http://www.trustedreviews.com/review...pad-710s-13isk

Big plus points:
  • Amazing 1080p IPS screen, super clear and bright with great colour reproduction and viewing angles. Perfect for media and photos.
  • Incredibly light and thin aluminium case with no flex, it is light and solid
  • Speakers are excellent for such a small aptop, you can crank them right up with no distortion.
  • CPU is the top of the line Intel i7 i7500u, its basically the most powerful Ultra Low Voltage CPU there is.
  • Keyboard is good and well-spaced as with all Lenovo mchines.

It has 8GB of (non upgradeable) RAM which is enough for pretty much anything you will be doing on this machine, and a 256GB SSD is also adequate for a laptop which will likely be used as a secondary travel media PC or around the house.

There is nothing else that can touch it in the price range, not without spending around 30-50% more.

Useful if, for example, you are running several virtual machines concurrently.

No, like most ultraportables the RAM is soldered on. There is/was a 16GB configuration from Lenovo at one point but you cant upgrade it yourself. Usually it says "expandable" if you can upgrade it yourself.

As an ultra portable notebook with a ultra low voltage CPU, this is not a machine you would generally be running several VM's on concurrently. 8GB is fine for productivity/media and undemanding photo/video editing purposes.
