Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Apparently Gamestop is exchanging a PS4+3games+99CHF for a PS4 Pro with the Destiny 2 bundle.

So if someone is looking to play Destiny 2 with a season pass etc, they can get a bump to a Pro if they have 3 games they don't play all that much.

I would do it and sell the game, but the Destiny bundle comes with a white PS4 and I like my consoles black (or grey like the original playstation)

Awesome! Ahhh it expires on the day I get back from Christmas holidays but luckily I have one next to my house! Let's see if I can manage to do it or not... would probably haven a one hour window if opportunity.

Edit - only white? Mhmm...

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Dell has a 10% on their website for:
Quote:
"10 % Rabatt auf alle* Inspiron, XPS und Alienware PCs ab CHF 799 mit dem Code SAVE10. Nur bis 31. Januar.
*Gilt nicht für neue XPS 13 Systeme.Zu den Angeboten"
(Just remember that there is no right for any returns in case of problems, repairs only. And their service is in Germany, and it takes a lot of time to deal with it.)

Somewhat off the subject of getting a bargain laptop,
but here's a deal of another nature:

Of course there a few strings attached!

You can get it in packets in the rice/pasta section of a supermarket and that stuff is disgusting.

Rosti's nice but it needs to be made from fresh potatoes. (IMO)

You have a buying impulse when you see that?!

Yes, you can also get it in bags. The fact that it says "Hero" on the bags still doesn't make it better though.

It means you deserve to be called a hero if you manage to eat it.

They sell it everywhere so there must be a demand for it.

Perhaps it's us dirty foreigners who buy it?

I keep a couple of packages of the Coop vacuum bagged stuff. It's not as good as fresh, and it takes a lot longer to brown than it says on the package, but with an egg, or some raclette cheese on top it makes a decent hot meal.

Butter makes everything better :-)
Tried and true, daughter during her apprentischip was shown how the restaurant served their rösti nicely browned up.
I was sceptical as well, but it does make a big difference.
Yes, it's true, such a hack is never going to be the same as the real thing, but godamighty, I don't always have the time nor the inclination to do everything from scratch.
That's why these things sell and if they are done in a good way, well, why the hell not!?
I like to cook and believe I can cook quite well, but I don't see the point in being puritanical about it.
I'll happily rustle up a huge nosh according to my latest deemed chef, but inbetween times, I am just as happy to use convenience food with my own take on it and am well satisfied.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

I saw these in Co-Op Sihl City today not far from the main entrance to the supermarket (where the kiosk is that sells cigarettes), a few aisles up on the left, just past the baby stuff...

They have some nice wineglasses too and some other bits and bobs.
