Yep, something strange going on. Main page says 299 but if you click on the headphones you get 249. That's a pretty good discount!
i remember spending £50 on a pair of headphones and thinking that was pricey. i guess i haven't been in switzerland long enough

Samsung S7 399chf at M-electronics (10% cheaper than other places)...
If you check toppreise.ch the difference is less than 10%. Still, the best price.

You are right, it's 5% less than the nearest reputable competitor, but a 10% discount on their previous price. Still, a great price for an extremely capable and reasonably sized smartphone that will also be getting an Android 8.0 update.

I have had an S7 for the last two years until I lost it last week. For me it has been the perfect phone.
  1. Size is perfect at 5.1"
  2. Fingerprint scanner is on the front home button (S8 is on the back in a bad position)
  3. Screen is not mostly flat and too curved
  4. Plenty powerful CPU (even considering it is 2 years old) with 4GB RAM
  5. Camera is good (same as S8)
  6. It is a tough phone, shock and water resistant. I bought this case and dropped it a gazillion times on every type of surface and only scratched the screen (oh yeah, buy a screen protector, oops) https://www.spigen.com/products/gala...ed-armor-black

For 399chf it provides 80% of the performance of most new smartphones for 50% or less of the price.

Let me get this straight. There are people who pay over 800 SFr for HEADPHONES?

I was surprised too, 800chf is so cheap, I guess it's for low class people (or people struggling with EF minimal income 120K CHF/year).

Here's some entry level headphones for people with a bit of taste: https://www.amazon.de/Sennheiser-HD-...70_&dpSrc=srch

A bargain!

I wouldn't settle for less, otherwise the MP3s will sound bad.

With summer coming up... We have a couple of these, one upstairs and one down to keep things comfortable over the hot weeks/months and they do a decent job. Reduced by two thirds give or take.

Just in case people are confused by Joe's lack of description within his post (better to at least say more or less what it is without people having to need to click the link), it's not an air conditioner with refrigeration, it's basically a fan and de-humidifier combo that you can put ice cubes in to cool the air with.

Sorry, late in the day, long flight blah, blah. It's also an air cooler. Two freezer packs included. Our room temps go down from 28/29 to 21/22.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

I´ve always wondered if they actually worked or not, do they keep the room cool for 7-8 hours while you`re asleep or does it fade after 2-3 hours Joe?
Not a bad add to the apartment for 80quid.

It's described as a "Luftbefeuchter"; that's a humidifier, not a de-humidifier (and the photo of the water tank being filled supports that).

Joe, I can see how this machine would reduce the temperature with the freezer packs installed, but does it also cause the humidity to increase markedly? That wouldn't be too pleasant at the height of summer.

It is titled as: "Klarstein MaxFresh Air Cooler Air Conditioner, White". It's not an air conditioner by the common understanding and usage of the term.

Absolutely -- air conditioners dehumidify and cool, whereas this one cools by blowing air over ice or cooled water (which no doubt works, but presumably increases the humidity)

If it increases humidity then it would be hell in Switzerland which is already pretty damn humid in the midst of Summer. My apartment can get near-unbearable without proper air-conditioning.

Yes, reiterate long flight and wrong time zone. Its a humidiifer/air cooler. Ours are normally located by an external wall under large windows, no condensation on the glass, no mould on the wall, no damp spots close by and no sense of extra humidity with all door and windows closed. I would be the first to complain about that, humid is not good To the earlier question about how long the room stays cool, of course it will warm up if the ambient temp is high enough, however there is a timer and also night mode which is until now genuinely quiet enough to be able to sleep next to.

If you live in the Lausanne area, Coop Brico Crissier (Leman Centre) has a re-opening sale (they updated the store) from 26.04 - 28.04.

15% off everything in the store (with the normal exceptions). It might be useful if combined with a special offer on a product that you are interested in or if you need to buy something anyway.
