Migros website no longer showing E8 that low but generally speaking, the main differences are design & sound. E8 is the 'picture on glass' OLED in their lineup with a bit better sound (internal speakers) than the C8.
Picture wise, C8 & E8 are similar due to same processor whereas the B8 has the older processor.
Couldn't go wrong with either C8 or E8 IMHO, question of price in the end

So the current generation that is being "cleaned out" is the 8. The one being launched is the 9 (so you will pay full pop). Sometimes you will even see really good deals for leftover stock of the series 7 that Migros and others will buy in to do a "special deal" on 50 and 65" models.
Normally (a big word) there are significant tech improvements with each new generation. But like Apple et al, sometimes the "improvements" are more marketing than something you might need, notice or appreciate.

Both Interdiscount and Mectronics are running sales on the 65" LG OLEDs at the moment. Interdiscount has the OLED65B8 for CHF 1'899 (remember you can use Coop points for the purchase - 100 pts = CHF 1.-). Sale is on until the 26th. Melectronics has the OLED65E8 for CHF 2'199 (you get 20x Cumulus points on the purchase). The E8 was voted the Best Product 2018-19 at the EISA show (Premium OLED TV category). Not sure how long the sale lasts.

2'199 * 20 / 100 = 440.-

Buy Club (Geneva) has an offer for a reduced price (30% off) on the lift up to Mt. Blanc in Chamonix. Could be interesting for a family outing or if you have guests coming to visit.
The offer has a deadline, so if interested you need to act soon.

Be careful if you have a Swiss kitchen with standard spaces of 55cm, this one is 91cm wide so will be hard to fit it in neatly!

It seems to be identical, although with very slightly more storage capacity. Anyone know whether there is any significant difference?

I wouldn't like such a product.

The first one has "Resistant to the cold
Metal Cooling channel at the rear which is supposed to maintain the internal temperature when the door is left ajar when loading etc"
Your one doesn't have this but does have an egg storage box (which is strange as eggs should not be stored in the fridge - unless they are those coloured hard-boiled Swiss ones).
However the main difference is the first has a stainless-steel and the second an anthracite colour finish.

All eggs need for proper storage is a consistent cool temperature with no fluctuations and nowhere is better suited to that than the fridge. My eggs are always in the fridge within their carton and stay fresh for ages.
