My mother always maintained the egg yolks are more fragile in cooled eggs : is this the real reason why you should not keep eggs in the fridge door/ceiling/back of/vegetable compartment/beer rack:
https://delishably.com/dairy/how-to-...fect-fried-egg
Has anyone conducted double blind trials to settle this question?

This is from dedicated US egg website https://www.eggs.ca/eggs101/view/39/...nd-food-safety
That's the URL where .ca stands for California... I guess.

I tried that once. I was blind-folded twice. Result - lots of broken eggs over the floor!

But yes, that would be interesting - especially doable if a spanish omlette is on the cards.
You'd probably need a lot of eggs to get a meaningful result and they really ought to come from the same chicken (and then you get the problem that they are not all the same age eggs) - or at least from a farm where you know all the eggs came from chickens on the same diet and living in the same conditions.

It starts getting complicated.

I removed the egg rack from my fridge door. The eggs are kept in the boxes on the kitchen counter-top.

Agree with Tom not to put them in the fridge, you should avoid temperature fluctuations (room temperature -> fridge). Most likely when you buy the eggs they are not refrigerated.

You can also prolong the shelf life by rotating the eggs e.g. using an egg spiral: https://picclick.co.uk/Helter-Skelte...840489349.html
My mother never kept eggs in the fridge at home when I was growing up and I never have done so either.
They are much better for baking with when at room temperature and in my experience the yolks are less fragile too but I haven’t conducted a controlled experiment.

Not sure why you quote my post as though it is related to or comparable to the offer I posted, but yes with this TV you are saving 150chf over the next cheapest price. https://www.toppreise.ch/prod_525421.html

Same can be done for Spotify and the Philippines. Think it's like 0.50 a month or something there

Spotify is 3chf per month in Philippines (still very cheap). Also I tries registering and I can't seem to get around the card billing address location...

EDIT - Ahh apparently this works... will look tomorrow. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/443485

Ah yeh you're right. I misread. That's a family subscription for up to 6 people so is about 50p per person per month. A single person subscription is about £2 per month.

https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/spo...7-pppm-3138662

Hotukdeals has a method via paypal to sign up.

Note:I've not tried this since I piggy back for free off a generous family member

Microspot have some good deals on Samsung LED TV's... https://www.microspot.ch/de/tv-audio...sort=price-asc

Samsung 65" Q7 1299chf https://www.microspot.ch/de/tv-audio...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

Samsung 65" Q8 QLED with full local dimming 1499chf https://www.microspot.ch/de/tv-audio...5--p0001522411

Samsung 75" Q6 1799chf https://www.microspot.ch/de/tv-audio...5--p0001490332

Miles cheaper than the next cheapest prices I could find (Toppreise.ch seems to be down at the moment)!

Sadly they don't have the 75" Q7F or I would have snapped it up... seems to be sold out almost everywhere with a minimum price of 3400chf.

No, Q9 was the 2018 flagship. Q7 was the best value higher-end model QLED from 2018.
