Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Coop Mobile is running a "Black Friday" offer at 50% off their regular CHF 29.90/month price for the first 12 months. It is unlimited talk, SMS and MMS in CH. It comes with 3Go of data per month (does not expire).

Coop uses the Swiscom network. The SIM card costs CHF 40.-

Where this offer might be interesting is that it comes with a starting data reserve of 1'000 Go !! for the first 10'000 clients. This could be good for someone who is a big data user.

This offer is open until 30.11.2020.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

I always find great bargains at the Fundsachenverkauf - the last example was a set of three 100-sided dice, all three for four francs! They have other games, clothes, skis/snowboards, skateboards, phones, jewellery, tools, computer games, DVDs, bags, shoes, clothes ... the list goes on. I also got a sealed box of Cards Against Humanity for 20 francs ...

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

VIGNETTE 2021:

I am sure that Denner will as usual be having their deal on the vignette when you spend CHF 100.- From memory you save CHF 5.- on the vignette.

This year, Aldi is having a deal ONLY on Dec. 1st where you spend CHF 100.- and you get the vignette for CHF 29.90. The extra deal is that the cost of the vignette is included in the CHF 100.- spending. So in reality you spend CHF 70.- and you get a great price on the vignette.

I would imagine that they will be sold out in the morning so if you are interested, it would be best to be there early.

EDIT: As mentioned below by 3Wishes, the CHF 70.- can not include wine, beer, recharge cards, taxed garbage bags etc.

Well, Lidl is getting in on the act with an even better deal.

First of all the deal is valid from Dec. 1st to 5th (once again don't wait for the last day). Aldi is only Dec. 1st.

You spend CHF 70.- then you pay CHF 29.- (you save 90 centimes vs. Aldi).

You can get one vignette at the special price for each CHF 70.- you spend but you have to do it as a separate purchase (eg. each bill must be CHF 70.- to qualify but you can not spend CHF 140.- on one bill and buy two vignettes).

Aldi's website seems to indicate that wine and spirits don't count towards the total. Lidl's website doesn't have any special language that I see.

Wingo (Swisscom's Internet brand) has an unlimited phone/data offer in CH and EU for CHF 49.- per month, no contract, free SIM etc. In CH it of course runs on the Swisscom network.

This could be interesting for someone who spends a lot of time in the EU.

Today is the last day. Details below:

Hmm, a hundred sided dice, that woke me up! So which number is it then from the 93 visible (still some barely)?
The Fundgrubenverkauf sounds like an idea, never thought of that.

They are all clearly visible - each die is about 8cm in diameter, making it clear on which side the die is resting, although even then they can roll for hours on a smooth, hard surface before coming to rest.

A lot of the items for sale at the Fundsachenverkauf are lost property (eg, from the trains) which haven't been claimed after a certain amount of time. The electronics are especially good value, and checked/restored by their staff before sale, with a seven-day refund if they don't work (unless you cause the failure yourself, of course!). Others are regular Brockenhaus donations ...

ALL of them should be

So it's the number the dice lands on?

Thats a great deal, and I see it covers the UK for data roaming. Given that Norway and Iceland (non-EU) are also included, it shouldn't change once we're through the brexit transition period.

These guys (the link) are a digital marketing company. They do have an email (support@alao.ch) and phone number. I would suggest you call them (043 508 80 42). They may refer you over to Wingo.

Sounds good, but I can't find that deal on their website. All offers for masks have a substantial delivery charge, and the price is much higher than CHF 2. Do you have a link?

I haven't used them but Campz.ch has some pretty good prices compared with most online retailers.

I usually buy mine in the U.K. as of course I don't mind paying a bit more here but sometimes the prices are double or more than that.
