Hofer (Aldi) in Austria are selling FFP2 masks for €0,59 each.

Inconvenient for most but

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

The FFP2 masks are back in Aldi... picked up 40 from 'Aldiswil' this morning. Some people are clearly either hoarding or buying to sell though so they will be gone by end of day.

I have 160 now, total price 140chf (0.875r per mask), so figure that will now do me until I can get a vaccine, even if/when FFP2 masks become mandatory. I tend to use more than usual due to my group hiking and sporting activities.

Which brand did you get? Hopefully the one that says Air Protect on the top left of the box. I gave some details on them over on the Covid thread. My Aldi had stock today as well.

Its pretty crap that they and others have been profiteering on masks. The price on CE marked PPE should be fixed and regulated by the government.

Yeah, although I suspect that's why they sent me 120 instead of the 60 I ordered, because they knew the price would be coming down soon. That was good of them.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

I don't look forward to the border opening. The Austrian gov't set a price of 59 Euro-cents (64 raeppli) for FFP2 when they were made generally (that is, non-skiing activities) mandatory a couple of weeks ago. Before that, they were required for skiing and cost 3 Euro. I wonder how long it will take for the CH shoppers to load up once grocery runs are allowed.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Hey guys at Digitec there is a REALLY good deal on the LG 65" OLED CX for 1499chf, arguably the best TV in the world. https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product...ntent=12934432

It is 100chf cheaper than the next cheapest price which was already 300chf than the next cheapest price https://www.toppreise.ch/price-compa...D65CX6-p605607

It has HDMI 2.1 which is the newest standard, it's an OLED so perfect blacks. If you are looking for a 65" TV to last the next years then don't even hesitate, just buy it.

If you want the cheapest 77" version of this TV then Fust has it for 2900chf, 300chf cheaper than anywhere else https://www.fust.ch/de/p/tv-foto-gam...utm_medium=cpc

However the 65" is such amazing value and a good fit for most rooms that, rather than pay double for a larger TV, I would rather spend the 1400chf saved on far more beneficial things like a HDMI 2.1 AV receiver or good speakers or a PS5 etc etc.

If you really want a smaller TV then the 55" is available for 1200chf, but in this a case the 65" is a worthwhile upgrade for only 300chf extra https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product...ision-12934433

I just ordered the 65".

EDI - Microspot also price matched, but Digitec has better service https://www.microspot.ch/de/tv-audio...k--p0002357571

The cheapest price in the UK from a reputable store is Amazon at 2270chf https://pricespy.co.uk/audio-video/t...65cx--p5258827

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Media Markt have a really good deal on a Whilrlpool portable air conditioning unit WHIRLPOOL PACB29CO for 359chf https://www.mediamarkt.ch/de/product...o-1932511.html

It seems to have a lot of modern features along with 'eco-friendly' refrigerant, a HEPA filter and a "silent mode" (which will of course not be silent, but at least likely quieter than average for these types of device). It's also in a more modern black colour. https://www.whirlpool.be/fr_BE/w/cli...l/859991570560

The next cheapest price on toppreise at a reputable store is almost 600chf https://www.toppreise.ch/price-compa...CB29CO-p619271

For a more modern ac unit with natural refrigerant and advanced controls it's a really good price (usually for that money you get only cheap crap) and better to buy now than wait till Summer when you can guarantee that all stocks will disappear.

Looks like a pricing mistake that they've sadly corrected now.

Re: The "I found a deal/bargain" thread...

Since it will soon be time to change to the summer tires/tyres (Easter is coming) some of you (like me) will need new summer rubber.

Each of you may have your favorite website but it might be worth checking the prices from the following two "comparison" sites.

The first gives a sort of overview/price listing of the major sites. The second seems to pay a role of intermediary that then directs you to the actual seller website for the credit card processing. The price given is lower than the posted price on the seller's official website. I was able to save a further +/- 5% from the best price this way going with another supplier that I did not know about.

Here are the two sites:

FR : https://www.quelpneu.ch/
FR: https://www.reifen-online.ch/fr/pneu...00+201+202+205

DE: https://www.welchereifen.ch/
DE: https://www.reifen-online.ch/?lang=de

Wow, Lenovo have a VERY good deal on a 13" inch Lenovo Yoga 6 notebook for 680chf: https://www.preispirat.ch/lenovo-yog...-lenovo-store/

Honestly, that is an outstanding price for such a powerful (the AMD 8 core processor is excellent and it has 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD and a decent 1080p screen) and well specced 2-in-1 convertible laptop with pen support.
