Aaaaaaa, we've just got an on-air shout out on a national www.radio1.cz, by a fab DJ we've been listening to for years!

I will shamelessly plug him here, his show with his 70yr old Dad was great today. Douglas is super cool and learned Czech in an unbelievable quality. Nobody does that! Douglas Arellanes formerly of LA, shout out back. Keep inspiring with some fab tunes.

Biiiig shout out to our Czech darling Ester Ledecká who got another medal in a discipline that was never her priority (she always trained and represented snowboarding, skiing was a bit of a fluke, just to see how she would do at the last winter games), winning the world gold in super-g today. Yayyyyyy! Loved her noises. Her dad is a famous singer. She never cared for popularity of her family.

Gratulujeme! amazing how sporty (at all levels) the czech nation is -skiing, snowboarding, climbing, canooing, kayaking... even if they have only 'mild nature' - when compared to their surrounding countries.

From Prague???? Say hi to everything from me...especially the opera, guláš and xmas cookies! So much music and culture, though now on hold. Don't forget to get a live carp and put it in your bathtub before killing it and making schnitzels out of it. Also, xmas is 3 days there.

And sporty - so true. And mild nature is something that the nation values, in a stoic way. We invest only in stuff that matters, even our emotions, good or bad. And then it's a compliment, an investment.

Ano, Opera is closed but I cannot complain, my lovely Neighbour is one of the leading opera baritone singer in Czech... so I pop by every second day when I'm here for coffee and he practices !

And yes, medvedi mliko...medovina & medovnik are my basic staples here for winter

Medovník....yay yay yay yayyyyyy. It's magic. Pain d'épices reinvented. All baritones are amazing. My neighbors don't mind me practicing, either.

To a fun 2yr old baby who decided to lock his parents out on their balcony, in a lockdown'ed appartment block in CZ. Without their cell phones. Police saved them after a good period of time, frozen to the bones.

Shout out to people in 7 CZ villages that just got destroyed by a tornado. I was bewildered by the recent Swiss one, and right when I sent pics home this week, there was a tornado in Moravian region of CZ. RIP. My thoughts to impacted families. Slovakia and Austria sent help through their special forces.
