I saw it on the news, it's devastating!
It breaks my heart to read the updates...People saying how they dragged their kids under themselves and prayed on a bathroom floor, so nothing would happen to them. Some older guys cried watching his car fly out and ram into the wall, people save decades still to be able to afford it, villages are poor. A church steeple flew off, it was scary. Half of the houses that are still standing will have to be pulled down anyway.

The country is on its knees for Covid and one of the highest death rates, permanent lockdown for a year and now this. I hope there will be some kind of relief fund or something useful, politics is not always fast enough.

I'm sorry to hear about the devastation. What a horror to watch and see the damage afterwards. I can understand how people are still in shock and fear.

Re: Shout out to...Message Board

Scary stuff.

There's nothing you can do, you just have to endure it. And the houses across the street, to the left of the redroofed small ones, even have at least two windows open!

Re: Shout out to...Message Board

I liked the little cosy he knitted for his gold medal with the Union Jack on one side and the Japanese flag on the other. He said it was to stop his medal being scratched
OH's nephew was a life guard when Daley was training at the aquatic centre in E London. He said he was a lovely guy and a joy to watch. Nephew was a county swimmer and said he wished he'd taken up diving.

Ahahah)) I think for all mummies it's really cute a young man knitting, but dont be pikachu surprised when girls go for those bad boys, leather jacket wearing, repairing a weak ignition engine with spark plugs and go for wild rides and all... being horrified of the idea to knit, crocheting ....
