Where to refill CO2 cylinders in Bern?

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of any places in Bern that can refill CO2 cylinders (e.g. a cylinder used for paintball)? Is this something that Migros Sportxx would have, or is there some other shop in (or near) town that you'd suggest?

Even after living here for two years I'm afraid I don't really have any idea where to start looking. (Maybe I should get out of the lab more?)

I ask because my wife and I bought a SodaStream carbonation system so we can make our own bubbly drinks. The valves on the gas cylinders are boobytrapped so they can't be refilled and exchanging the bottles for new ones is not exactly cheap, so we're looking at getting a third-party adapter that allows for paintball cylinders (which can be filled cheaply in many places) to be connected to the Sodastream. Refilling our own cylinder would be a lot cheaper.

Also, the Sodastream cylinders occasionally have different valves (see the photo -- the German cylinder is on the left and works well, one we got for a cylinder exchange here in Switzerland is on the right). I'm not sure if it's just a different style they use (they might have various valve suppliers) or if it's a specific difference between the Swiss and German cylinders, but the pointed valve seems to cause some minor issues. If we had our own valve it'd be a lot more consistent.

Thanks!

Thanks! That looks promising, but I'm not sure if they do individual cylinders. I'll contact them and see.
