Multiple changes of address not possible?

I have already a change of address A->B, which redirects all my mails addressed for A to B.
Today I went to the post to make another one C->B. I thought for sure there was no conflict between A->B and C->B... But finally the guy in the window told me it is not possible as I can only have one at a time...
Is this normal?

Re: Multiple changes of address not possible?

don't see a problem here - they couldn't do A->B and A->C as they wouldn't know which letter needs to go where, but having mail forwarded from two different addresses to the same new one should be possible.

Maybe he just didn't understand what exactly you were requesting, I'd try contacting the Kundendienst via web form..

Yes I agree with you. I don't see the problem with A->C and B->C. He told me that it was not allowed because everyone is supposed to have only one address in Switzerland (is that true???)

And funny thing is that, when I went to the post today, first I just told him that I wanted a change of address B->C. He did make it for me! But before I left the window, for safety I asked him: I already had another change of address A->C, I suppose there will be no conflict? Then he asked someone like the chef and the latter searched for my other change of address in their system and said it was not possible and then he canceled the newly made B->C and gave me back the money I just paid...

I wonder that if I said nothing at all I would have no problem...

If two post office employees say it's not possible, then there is a weeny chance the system will not allow two addresses, don'tcha think?

If you move around a lot, you can have all your mail sent to a Post Restante / Postlagernd office. Retaining your mail for up to 30 days is free of charge.
