My kids thought it is CHEESEY, but I always had everyone join in a circle and say one thing, for which they were thankful! Got funnier, with the kids, as they got older.
Anyway, I am thankful for English Forum. It helps me, and many others, feel understood and connected, which is very good.
Happy Thanksgiving!

| | Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to EVERYONE. Today is a day to be thankful for all that we have. If we are rich or poor, we have to be thankful. There are 1 million things to be thankful for. I know that I am thankful to have another day of life, to have a roof upon my head that I can call home, I am thankful for my amazing husband and my family back in the US. I really miss them. I can have a huge list here, but i rather keep it short May God bless you all and I hope that today it is filled with lots of joy and happiness.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, too. I'm not American, but the other half of the family is (and we never get a happy Canadian Thanksgiving from the grumble grumble)

happy thanksgiving. who cares what you are. in the end it's just nice to have a day to celebrate the little that we all may have. i'm thankful for so many things, i try to remember it each day, some days it's easy other days i'm a bit stubborn. either way it's nice to have a day where you know everyone is engaged in a big lovefest that has food and family and friends at it's core.
we'll celebrate tomorrow. it seems swissies around here like to be part of a real american feast so i am happy to oblige and cook then eat then drink then eat again. no shame in a day of that

You all seem to be missing the point, that I, along with many/most other non-Americans, don't subscribe to this "thanksgiving" thing at all. I'm "thankful" that I'm not American, therefore, because it means I don't have to go around finding thinks to be thankful for. Geddit?
If you still think it's mean, I'm sorry, but it's certainly not intended.
