In the Sihl City COOP they advertise home delivery for as low as 9 CHF. Or is that delivery by bike?
The delivery costs go down the higher the checkout price is. It starts at, I think, 17.50 and drops down, I guess to 9. Often they have an offer of free delivery over 200 chfs.

I thought they employed people on social money and paid really low wages for this work. They delivered on Velo?

Well, she doesn‘t seem to have access to the latest info.
Maybe she would like to inform...
Please pull your head in and read everything and think before you type, otherwise you come across a little silly.

I have not used delivery at home since the end of January of two reasons, 1) I tend to only use it once a month or so, when I need heavy or bulky stuff. 2) I do not want to take up delivery slots for those that NEED it (self isolated and high risk individuals) whilst I am healthy and can still go to the shops.

Of course, I agree that IF one were using home delivery because one was self isolating and/or ill then, yes indeed, isolation includes delivery drivers too, but people who are isolating themselves do not need a PhD and over ten years of postdoc experience to know that. People who are still able to go out and about and work/shop/interact normally, but have needed to buy bulky/heavy goods they can’t get home can very easily go downstairs and pick up bags without any physical contact with the delivery person at all. We are not in lockdown.

Coop@home has their own vans and uniforms etc..... I think it is an actual job. Might still be low paid though.

The bicycle delivery option is not the same thing as coopathome delivery.

For the bike delivery you do the shopping yourself then band your bags over at the info desk along with the delivery fee and they will deliver them for you. It is usually students who do this job.

Thank you, I did not realise we were talking about two different things.... I guess I should read more carefully and think before typing so I don’t come over as silly.
