I was making jokes about He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (e.g. the current U.S. President) and Oompa Loompas, and getting blank stares from my husband.
I have the exact same 'problem'. My OH was born and raised in South Africa and they didn't have tv until he was 11 or 12. He was 52 before he saw Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.

All the kittens on this Kitten-cam website are asleep
Just to brighten your day tomorrow, I saw the owner of this Icelandic site interviewed on tv on Monday morning. The first 4 kittens he featured have all been adopted.

Couldn't go out this morning because my fitbit (wally band) battery was charging and it would't have counted.

No kitten detox today One of The Kattarshians has been adopted and the other siblings are going to their forever homes this week. So Kattarshian family No.3 are moving in when they're ready. http://nutiminn.is/kattarshians/#

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Nice article here about people in Silicon Valley struggling on a 700,000USD salary.
People struggling to get through the month on 160,000 USD a year.

I would like to know that feeling.

While doing a bit of sleuthing I looked at one of the free ad sites' animal section.

Now every time I surf EF winsome puppy eyes pleading for a home stare at me.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

On Saturday Mr Longbyt reminded me that Garmin have issued an update which I should have installed. I said I hadn't done it yet so I handed the gadget over so that he could do it when he did his own. 'No, not that Garmin. That's the one you use on your racing bike on the roller in the cellar.' I dug around and give him my hiking Garmin. 'No, that's the hiking one. I want the Garmin you have for your ebike!'.

Did you raise your voice at the cook?

(An underdone scream creme is nothing to keep quiet about!)

I just sulked.. and wondered what have I done wrong in this life to deserve such a thing.
