Re: The First World Problem Thread

I didn't know our neighbours from downstairs had a dog cos never heard any noise coming. I saw them walking it yesterday. I didn't realize that Swiss dogs were so quiet too and did not bark like their owners

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I was eating a donut last night when a story came on about a famine in Africa. Fortunately I managed to finish my deep fried pastry, but I shall be writing to the BBC to complain.

I had to buy a set of oyster shell spoons to eat my boiled egg because it was reacting with my silver spoons.

Was expecting delivery of new bed at 9.00 am this morning. House is a mess - SO annoying when they actually turned up at 9.00 am. sharp!! Come on, cut a poor house mum some slack, will you? - Don't they know they are supposed to be late like in the rest of the world?

Couldn't even take it out on them properly, as they were so polite, took their shoes off, carefully carried the bed all the way up into the bed room, took away all the emballage with them and tidied up needly! Doesn't make it easy to be annoyed, now does it?!

Now I have to take it out on my husband instead, hmpf!

...Jeez, need a soothing drink at the pool to calm down this upsetting morning...Life is not meant to be easy, for sure
by 'soothing drink' you mean a glass of wine right, or why not the twoforone champagne, celebrate the hard work involved in negotiating the successful delivery of the bed and enjoy some of that calming wellbeing.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

As my car got totalled before Xmas, we're renting a car for a month, time to sort out our situation.

The cheapest option we found was a Fiat Panda...

It's cute as a button, but I feel like I'm driving a toy... By the time I manage to reach 120 on the motorway, it's time to take the exit

Re: The First World Problem Thread

When I moved to Switzerland about 8 years ago I was appalled at the price of meat so began a lot healthier diet eating a lot more fruit, salad and vegetables. I am now in Australia on holidays and the price of fruit, salad and vegetables is higher than Switzerland.

So meat it is (I thought) but I can't consume as much as I used to without feeling sick, I really am in a crisis.

Same here. I'm at that incomfortable stage where my normal pants are too tight but the pregnancy ones are too big yet.

And I don't even really look pregnant yet, I just look like I ate too much Xmas chocolate...

Im lucky enough in that i look pregnant... if i put on weight its always on my belly... this is the first time that has actually worked out!

I'm still kicking myself that i didn't buy more gold household items, given the rise in the price of gold in the last few years.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

When watching tv, my dog likes to snuggle up nose to tail with me with her farty end near my nose, she practically ruined the last episode of the walking dead for me! i rolled over and repaid her a few though.

you see what people don't tell you is that life in the west can be brutal too you know.

By mistake I used the soothing and calming evening shower gel this morning instead of the energizing morning shower gel. Needless to say, because of that, some noob spam deputies beat me to the punch.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

ladies of the third world, if you want to come over to the first world you'll have to suck this up.

in addition to doing all the things you normally did in the third world, finding, bringing home and cooking food, cleaning, laundry and taking care of all your children's and husbands needs, you'll a.l.s.o be expected to get a job for 12 hours a day, surely she's joking you're thinking..

did i mention, you'll be paid a third less than a man but you will a.l.s.o be expected to pay for half of everything (yes you read that right) because in the first world the sexes are equal

and if your resentment and indignation starts boiling over into anger, stop!

and suck it up ladies

because thats the way its been here in the first world for the last 50 years.

oh did i forget to mention, you'll be expected to do all this in 3 inch heels that hurt so bad you'll want to cry!

but don't expect any help from the geneva convention on this one ladies, No! you'll be expected to swallow this pill too.
