My cruise control apparently only starts functioning from 40km/h and up. The 30km/h areas are the expensive ones though.
Which car you have? :P You know... you can always get a brick with enough weight to put it on the acelerator and go less than 30km/h

Depends. Go back tomorrow. If you get another heart, she likes you. If you get a skull and crossbones, maybe not so much.

Work as a teacher is taking away invaluable time that needs to be spent planning my holiday at the end of the year.
Would that be a holiday to visit CH again?

The timer on my toaster is broken, so now I have to manually control it like some sort of Amish toasting bread with a fork over a fire

Hope you time well and don't burn your toast. I burned the hard to get kettle popcorn I was making kids for gymnastics break. Ick. FWP overkill.

The First World Problem Thread

Our 21:40 Basel to Gatwick flight was delayed to 23:00 and the small, gate side coffee shop was completely out of sandwiches, muffins and croissants. Fortunately there was plenty of Dunkirk spirit around to see us through this disaster.

Two FWPs...

One: I fly so often that the in-flight magazine is often the same one!

Two: I interrupted my business travels to Florida to fly back to DC to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with my husband (Paper Anniversary, according to the tradition), and I got hit by the s*it show of the American Health Care Act. Plus, the weather is awful this weekend. I wish I had flown my husband down to FLA instead.

Given that they don't let you take bottles of liquid on flights now, you could get yourself a collapsible cup for such emergencies. At the same time Amazon recommends another type .

From which part of the world did you have to import the grapes at this time of year?

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I replaced my shower hose today - now the water pressure is like in England (and let's face it, showering in England is more like dry-cleaning).
Took me ages to rinse the shampoo out of my hair ..... and what I hate most: It's not locigal (nope it's not the water saving nozzles type)

solved: There was a darn water saving nozzle - nicely hidden and not mentioned on the wrapping. Ba***rds, trying to fool me.

You read the in-flight magazine!!
I never before met anybody who does that?
Maybe just cutting out the discount coupons is acceptable?

You know you are flying the same routes too much when you get to know the cabin staff by their first names.

You need a better shower head, one of those fixed large diameter ones.. No problem with water pressure here!

My umbrella pole is too short, and I'm having to hold the handle at shoulder-height like I'm about to fly away for an interview as a nanny.
